What is Endometrial Cancer?

How do coffee and endometrial cancer relate to each other? In more ways than one, apparently. According to a recent scientific study in Sweden, coffee may play a part in the body’s ability to fight this disease, also known as uterine cancer. By drinking at least 2 cups of coffee each day, you could lower your risk of contracting the sickness that causes health problems for many.

Every year, approximately 35, 000 women in the United States alone are diagnosed with the endometrial cancer. When the uterus lining, or endometrium, becomes malignant, a hysterectomy is usually required. This is the most drastic but sometimes the only therapy available for a woman who has contracted the cancer. When a woman gets a hysterectomy, the uterus is removed, and childbearing is impossible. Unfortunately, endometrial cancer is the third most common cancer among women.

How Coffee Can Help

Endometrial Cancer occurs when the levels of your blood sugar, estrogen, or fat cells are irregular. Interestingly enough, these factors are directly related to the effects of coffee consumption. Because the ingredients in coffee beans, espresso coffee, and cappuccino coffee impact the body in this way, it could be possible that coffee beans and health go hand in hand. Women who struggle with weight are at a higher risk, and coffee is even more beneficial for them. When you are overweight, your insulin and estrogen levels increase, making you more at risk for the cancer. When the levels of insulin and estrogen have reduced circulation, (which is what occurs when you drink coffee) the body is less apt to contract endometrial cancer.

Stay Healthy with Coffee

Is coffee harmful? Any food or drink that is consumed in excessive amounts can be harmful, but drinking an average amount of coffee can actually be good for you. Not only does it help women’s bodies fight against endometrial cancer, but it is also a healthy choice in regards to your metabolism. Increasing your alertness and energy, coffee can actually help you lose weight. The benefits of coffee undeniably outweigh the risks.

Health Benefits of Drinking Coffee Increase

The health benefits of coffee and tea are a topic that researchers and health enthusiasts may never agree upon. There is a plethora of information and studies that circulate the internet and health magazines, all trying to prove one point: whether or not drinking coffee can actually improve your health.

Is Coffee Harmful?

The truth is, a trip to the coffee shop can be one of the most beneficial things you do for your body. We all know that coffee contains a drug: caffeine. Caffeine is known to perk you up in the morning and heighten your awareness, and can be taken in beverages such as coffee, tea, and energy drinks.

Having two or three cups of coffee, depending on your tolerance, will help keep you awake and alert. When you have that test to take or that meeting to attend, coffee will make you that much more alert and boost your brain activity, a must for school and work.

Benefits of Coffee

One of the most surprising health benefits of coffee is its ability to help your body ward off diseases. Women especially can benefit from drinking a couple cups of java. Women who drink at least four cups of coffee daily are at a decreased risk of contracting type 2 diabetes. Endometrial Cancer can be avoided by drinking coffee as well.

Caffeine health is not a benefit that is for women exclusively. Both men and women can benefit from drinking coffee. The risk of contracting diseases such as colon cancer, cirrhosis of the liver, and gall stones is decreased by including coffee consumption as part of your daily breakfast routine.

Aside from disease prevention, coffee will help boost your metabolism for the day and increase the vigor of your workout. Although some consider coffee to have high calories, the extra energy boost it gives you will help you burn more during your workout.

Healthy Coffee Amounts

Although it will not hurt you to drink coffee late in the day, drinking coffee in the morning is the most beneficial for your health. It will increase your brain activity for the rest of the day and up your metabolism, making it easier to burn calories.

Like any drug, caffeine is not something you should consume in large amounts. You should know how your body tolerates caffeine, and listen to the warning signs when you think you have had more than you can handle. More than four cups in one day may be too much, depending on your body weight. Nevertheless, studies have shown that drinking coffee IS beneficial to your health, and its benefits outweigh the risks!
